 Please join us for a fun weekend of fishing. We are going to be fishing for salt-water species like false albacore, bluefish, redfish, seatrout, sharks and spanish mackerel in the Atlantic Ocean and its local tributaries. Capt. Tom Roller of https://waterdogguideservice.com/, member of the South Atlantic Fisheries Management Council will give a talk on Friday evening about fishing in the local area. For your convenience, there is a block of rooms reserved at the Bask Hotel for "FFI." We recommend getting a guide for this trip, but surf fishing is also very good in the area. There are some available guides listed below, but this is a busy time of the year, so DON'T WAIT to book one. We look forward to seeing you all on this fun trip! Equipment:

• 8wt-10wt rods /reels
• intermediate lines for boats guides and Cape Lookout surf fishing
• 350 sink line for Ft. Macon surf fishing
• 20lb leader
• 30lb fluorocarbon bite tippet is required for Spanish mackerel and bluefish

Flies:

Primary baitfish are silversides and anchovies. 2”-2.5” Clousers on strong sz2 saltwater hooks with medium eyes are great. Match the color scheme of anchovies and silversides and include pink/white and tutti frutti. If you have a guide, they will have all the flies you need.
